Red Bull, Night at the Museum: Skatepark Magic by King Ramps
King Rampsโ long-standing partnership with Red Bull, spanning over 20 years, set the stage for the daring Night at the Museum project. Tasked with transforming Londonโs iconic Natural History Museum into a skatepark for Brazilian skateboarding legend Leticia Bufoni and friends, we faced the challenge of bringing this ambitious vision to life within tight overnight windows.
Collaborating with California Skateparks, our team designed and built custom obstacles that perfectly complemented the museumโs unique character, including skateable tanks and museum exhibit-inspired ramps. All elements were carefully prepped in our workshop to ensure a smooth and discreet installation process.
Each night, after the museum closed, we moved in to assemble the skatepark and create an unforgettable backdrop for the teamโs filming sessions. Before the museum reopened to the public in the morning, we carefully dismantled and stored everything, repeating this process seamlessly over five nights.
The result was a spectacular skatepark experience that earned global attention, with Red Bullโs final video edit reaching 500,000 views, marking the first time a group of professional female skateboarders skated inside a museum. This project highlights King Rampsโ commitment to pushing creative boundaries and our expertise in delivering exceptional skatepark builds in even the most unique and challenging settings.
